He is co-author of the textbook A Practical Guide to Ethics and Professional Practice for Engineers and Geoscientists (Pearson Canada, 2022) Practical law of Architecture, Engineering and Geoscience (Pearson Canada 2007), author of the textbook Construction Law (Prentice Hall, 1996), and co-editor and contributor to the textbook Expert Evidence in British Columbia Civil Proceedings (CLE, 2001). His practice focuses on mediation and arbitration of construction disputes, and on civil rights (Charter) litigation. Brian has successfully argued cases at all levels of court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Brian is also a trained mediator and was a Chartered Arbitrator for many years. Brian is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.
