He has successfully litigated numerous construction cases over many years, including large and complex matters. His focus now is on mediation and arbitration of construction disputes

Samuels & Co. has been involved in promotion and protection of civil rights. Brian was winning counsel for the Plaintiff in a landmark Supreme Court of Canada decision on Charter damages, and was counsel in the Polygamy Reference case before the BC Supreme Court. He continues to be active in this field.
